Out of dress code?

Okay so one day I was at school and my teacher told me to go to the office I went and the principal was like “Girl you are out of dress code big time” and gues what I had on.. okay I had three chains on my right side of my pants, neatly ripped jeans, 6 inch nails on my id and a spiked bracelet., why is this out of dress code? I wasn’t hurting anyone -_-

Answer #1

Accessories on clothing that could be used as a weapon…that’s why you’re not allowed to do it.

Wear your clothes that express your unique style outside of school…that way you won’t keep ending up at the principals office.

Answer #2

**I just wore my chains today, and no one said anything about them. Explain to your principal that it’s not fair:You weren’t hurting anyone. It’s just accesories on clothing. :P

Answer #3

Ugh,that pisses me off. As long as you’re not hurting anyone,I think it’s fine. But I’ve worn ripped up jeans that didn’t show my a or p*,so I was fine. I have a chain that goes on pants, but I don’t want to get b*ed at.

Answer #4

yea but the stuff you had on looked like you cld hurt someone the do the same thing at my school

Answer #5

It is out of dress code because the dress code states what you are and are not allowed to wear, and it sounds like what you had on was in the -are not allowed to wear- category.

Consider this a challenge. Get a copy of the dress code and figure out what you can wear that expresses yourself and does not go against it.

Answer #6

Guy in my school, You cant wear 6 inch nails, you cant wear a lot of makeup[ not that I do] UNIFORM . Gay kaki or blue pants that have to be from dickies and a shirt with the gay asz logo . no braclets only 1 on each arm . and 1 nekalace . so yea you where dressed bad for school, check your uniform policy.

Answer #7

Well if it says in the handbook no chains, no ripped jeans.. doesn’t matter it looks like crap too. Its for the safety and overall well being of the school environment, so thats why its against dress code.
