I personally think shaved arms are a “no no” because they get all pokey and the hairs grow back real dark. I think it’s better to have hair on them, it looks more normal. I have a friend who shaves her arms and they’re always so pokey! If you really don’t like hair on your arms I suggest you wax them. You won’t have to wax all the time because the hair grows back slowly. If you really don’t want to wax “all the time”, then you could always get the hair lasered off.

You really shouldn’t when they grow back they tend to have the appearance of being darker or thicker, at least temporarily. If you must you really should wax. Depending on your hair growth, you can wait about a month, give or take, between each wax.

If you really don’t want to go through all the hassle of waxing perhaps try an epilator? I bought myself one of these and they’re pretty handy. I use them for my legs and armpits in the summer once a month. It’s basically a small device which looks like a man’s electrical shaver that pulls out the hairs. So it does the same as waxing but it’s a rechargeable electronic device instead, less mess less hassle if you ask me. Only downside though, is that people consider it a “slow torture”. Whereas with waxing you pull off a whole patch of hair at once, the epilator pulls out the hairs where you put it on. I personally, barely feel the pain so it’s completely good for me. But look into it might be something useful for you;

I think waxing or laser will be better. Shaving will make the hair grow much faster, darker and like Iffy said, pokey. So waxing and laser FTW! XD

Answer #5

My friend has hairy arms and she hated them, so she started shaving them off I believe… I don’t think that was the best idea, but whatever works for her :p

Answer #6

The part about hair growing back darker, fuller, coarser, whatever is a myth.

The reason people believe this is because hair that grows back on a site that was hairless is more noticeable than hair that is growing on a site that already is covered by hair. To put it in perspective, try not shaving your legs for a few weeks.

After a while, you’ll notice that the hair is not growing any faster, darker, coarser, etc. than when you shaved it originally. It’s all in your head.

You could wax them, yes. Obviously a more “painful” method than regular shaving, but the hair takes longer to grow back because of the follicles being removed closer to the surface. Another method may be as Janice suggested, a depilatory method of removing the hairs with heat.

If you really must have the hair removed forever, try looking into laser hair removal.

Answer #8

thank you

Answer #9

I was reading reviews on that before, I wanted to try it, but I found mostly bad reviews :/ so I stuck to my epilator which is like a tweezer machine haha. But at least it’s less messy and annoying than waxing.
