he is just a puppy and puppies love biting. Puppies love attention so if he bites just ignore him.

Answer #2

He simply doesn’t know your “rules for play”…and, it sounds to me as tho he has a stronger type personality.

First…QUIT rough housing with him…if you want to play with him, use a ball, or even a tug toy…but NOT YOUR HANDS. If he starts to get too assertive, get up and leave the room…go to a room where you can close the door. Puppies HATE being ignored. Let him cool his heels outside the door for a few minutes…then come back out. You will have to repeat this EVERY time he gets too rough…

Remember he’s a baby, so quit hitting him…they don’t understand hitting…they DO understand being ignored (going to another room)…just like an older dog will play so long, and then get up and leave…

Also keep in mind, that he’ll be losing those baby teeth within a month…and they hurt…his new teeth will be a relief.

I dont no if you would want to do this but I have heard if you put vinegar on your hands the dog wont bite, but who wants to do that. also if your dog/cat stratches on your furniture spray a little on it

Answer #4

I wouldn’t put the little guy down because of biting and barking- he is assuming the dominant role over your family. what you need to do is assert YOUR dominance over HIM, there are several things you can try- the simplest is when he starts growling and biting- ROLL HIM OVER ONTO HIS BACK, and keep him in this position for a little while (a minute or two ), he will wiggle and growl and try to get up- but don’t let him. you are sending him the message that he gets up when YOU decide he gets up. you don’t have to hurt the little guy- just keep him restrained on his back. also remember that a dogs mouth is simiiar to our hands- they use it to grasp things sometimes- and do not intend to bite.

Answer #5

You want to put a baby down because he’s biting? Some people shouldnt have dogs… Uhm if someone smacked you on the mouth you’d probably start growling at them too… How about you try some dog training classes… They usually teach people as well as dogs… (it’s usually the people that need training)
