There is no “Most” popular. Music is derived in a large amount of variety’s and have a lot of different classes it hails in. For example.

Preps believe that the most popular music in the world is: Fergie, Justin Timberlake,James Blunt, and Nickelback.

Gangsters believe that the most popular music is: Lil John, 50 cent, Outcast, etc.

Emo-kids believe that the most popular music is: 30 seconds to Mars, Hawthorne Heights, Fall-out-boy, Paramore.

Heavy-metal guys like myself consider the most coolest music is: Children of Bodom, Lamb Of God, Metallica, AC-DC, Motorhead, Wintersun, Amon Amarth, As Blood Runs Black, Bullet for my Valentine, Born of Osiris, Job for a cowboy, Through the Eyes of the Dead, Winds of Plague…I could go on all day long on this one.

unfortunately, the most popular music these days follows a formula that requires it to include a repeating beat, and as many of the following words as possible:Ngger, Btch, Mtherfcker, Bust a cap, Nuts, Cck, Kill, Down wit it, Ho,etc. It is all too negative, disrespectful of women, and programs young urban kids for a long penitentiary sentence. I’m waiting for a song to come out about “I’m going to marry the btch I knocked-up, be a father to my kids, stay in school, become successful, and make my people proud of me. “ I will probably be in my grave still waiting to hear that one.
