My mom likes to take my money if I do even the littlest things (such as not having my room cleaned (and by that I mean one book out of place,) and wearing my socks outside when going to get the mail... I mean, they're stupid reasons, and I sometimes think that she is doing that to just purposefully tick me off. Anyway, now she says that I can't get a job because I haven't done my chores, and I'm trying to save up money to study abroad in Japan... Any suggestions on how to get past my mom? I mean, I try to listen, but she is REALLY strict... :-/
Maybe your mom is just super worried about you and is afraid to let you go off on your own into "the real world". You should sit down and talk with her and explain that you need to get a job in order to save money up and you would like to study abroad in the future. You could show her in the Internet the study abroad program. Ask her why she doesn't want you to get a job.... Communication is important :/
tell her that your whole life depends upon this decision and you are going to show consistency to your cause
