I don't think her performance was THAT big of a deal, but maybe that's just because I could personally care less about what most celebrities are up to. Yeah, she was a Disney star, and yeah, watching Miley grind on some dude while she sings about getting "a line in the bathroom" has got to be pretty traumatizing for the little girls who look up to her, but this isn't exactly the first rebellious thing that Miley has done since her "Hannah Montana" role. People change when they grow up. I don't think she's that talented - I mean, her dad helped her get famous in the first place, and her singing voice is really raspy, but that's just my opinion!
The performance was just trash. But look, it's the most talked about event and she's getting a lot of attention for it, which is what she wanted.
