How do I tell my boyfriend's dad I appreciate his help without feeling awkward? (read more)

How do I tell Mike’s dad, well step dad, I really appreciate him driving me around the past week without feeling too awkward? I feel really bad. I feel akward around his parents still to be honest, and especially if I were to say something cheesy sounding.

Next time just tell him that you really appreciate it. or this might be weird but you could make a cake and just tell him thanks for driving you around.see what your boyfriend says:) hope i could help

I would just be like, “Hey Mr. Whateveryoucallhim, thank you SO much for driving me around lately!” I really don’t think you need to feel weird about saying this, haha, just as long as you say it casually! The only way I could maybe see this conversation being awkward is if you just randomly brought it up or something. Either way, he’ll appreciate you thanking him, which is all that really matters. If it’s awkward, then it’s awkward. You’ll feel better when it’s over probably!

u DON’T lol the awkwardness is there no matter what..to some we are so open others ehh. when fathers day came around I was calling all the fathers and telling them happy fathers day when my boyfriend dad came i acted if i swallowed a cat..i ddin’t have the guts.. and my BF dad is the type that isn’t so bubbly, once i said thank you so much he just stayed quiet nodding his head from there i knew he feels awkward when u get to touchy or emotional.. best thing to say is “oh man i really needed this ride..this is an indication for thanksss:)
