Why do a lot of raw food recipes contain cashews and nutritional yeast?

It seems that both cashews and nutritional yeast are often used to make cheese-like flavored recipes. Why is that? What is nutritional yeast? Is it good for you? Where can I find it?

Cashews are For Protein. Yeast contains a lot of b vitamins, especially good for people who eat a vegetarian diet. You should be able to get yeast at a health food store.
