Pregnancy test accuracy while on period?

ok I asked this question before but I have too ask again because I want your guys opinion… look I took the pregancy test and I am on my period… no blood got on the dipstick only pee and test showed negitve so im not pregant… I called first response (you know the company that makes the things) and asked them if I could take it on my period and if it would be accurate and they said yes it would be accurate because the HCG hormone would still be present even if you were on your period or not… so what do you guys say??? gimmie your oppinon… they say its “OVER” 99.9% accurate sooo I think I believe them do you??? thank you in advance

Yes that’s true there’s that 99%, the only way to be certain is a blood serum draw which is basically a blood test, if there is a trace amount basically over 10 mlu it is usually postive. I just had a baby in March so believe me I got poked enough to know. It is possible to be pregnant and have a period, I did, not to scare you though. the first weeks of fertilization you can get implantation bleeding, it won’t be a lot but but you may confuse it for a period, especially since nearly all of the period symptoms mirror pregnancy symptom, except for the urination and leaky breast. With me I did have bleeding at 7 weeks with cramps , infact I had cramps my whole pregnancy, I would swear everyday my period was coming. How long ago you had sex and when your period started , plus do you have regular periods, that can all determine if you are pregnant. So either wait and take another urine test or if it’s over a month go do blood draw if you can, otherwise the urine test will be positive by the time it’s time for you to have your next period. Good Luck

Hi- I would think that your test would be negative. Sounds like you are having your period. The only definitive way to find out is a blood test which detects the HCG in your blood system. Hope this helped. Good luck and take care!

Okay, I think the test is right - its quite rare for a woman to experience an actual period during their pregnancy, some have light bleeding in early stages but it’s not a ‘period’. Also a pregnancy test is VERY accurate when the day of your period is supposed to come, and you’re period did come so it looks like you aren’t pregnant.
