I had it last year, and it took weeks before I got better. I was in hospital twice and, during the second time a Senior Medical doctor came in with some students to examine me. During the examination he mentioned to his students that it can take five weeeks for a patient to recover. I can believe that. And it left me with a serious heart complaint. Good luck!

Thanks! I’ve had it for about 3 1/2 weeks. I haven’t been in the hospital at all though, so i guess that’s a good sign!

Answer #4

Had it a couple years ago, had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks. Not that bad, not so much pain.

Answer #5

Wow, i guess i got lucky. I haven’t been in the hospital, but the doctor said that he caught it early.

Answer #6

Your doctor is right. I have had family members who’ve had it for 6 weeks or even longer and was hospitalized many times. Wait untill your lungs are completely fine and your course of anti-biotics is finished before you do any physical activity. With something like pneumonia you can feel fine, but not really be fine at all.

Answer #7

I had pneumonia a few years ago. I was not admitted to hospital but I had to remain in a constant temperature. Any variation impeded my recovery. It took a couple of months before I fully recovered.
