During early pregnancy

My husband and I want a baby badly we fell pregnant a few months ago but lost the bubby unfortunately I have recently just got a job where I lift some heavy boxes into a truck about twice a month they only weight about 35kgs each and we use a trolley to transport them each other time. If I am pregnant (which I might be even though we werent planning it this time) can I continue with my job or should I stop immediately? The doctor wont give me a straight answer I really cant afford to stop working but also would kill me to lost another baby! (also my work cant give me leave because im a contractor)

Answer #1

I think it would be best for you to look for another job before quitting just in case and maybe it would be a good idea to stay protected till you are working somewhere else so you don’t have to go through that pain again and I’m sorry you had to go through that once already.

as long as you’ve been lifting those weights before you were pregnant, and then continue to do it reguarly throughout your pregnancy, you should be fine. that’s what my sister’s doc told her. she kept her job till she was 8 months preg and everything went just fine.
