How can I make my new kitten stop crying all night?

Any ideas. Had him for four days. He is 4 months. Just seperated form the mom. He is so cute and sweet. Just a whiner.

Answer #1

Try leaving some toys for him or her to play if the kitten starts crying

or let the kitten sleep in your room so the kitten can feel comfortable like a family.

don’t let it sleep on your bed or you’ll end up squishing it D:

one more approach is to leave it with your dog so the kitten can have some company at night, if the dog and kitten get along :?

Answer #2

well the dog is outside in the back yard becuz it wont stop peeing everywhere,. It pees when i pet her. pees when she is excited. started makin the house smell. so she is fenced in in the back yard. the kitten has toys and we are cat sitting for a friend. they get along but its not helping. he isnt eating at all either

Answer #3

Leave music or the tv on maybe that could help? N um you could force feed it? Or um find food it maybe likes?

Answer #4

Do you have like a fuzzy pillow or blanket? haha. idk maybe something like that will comfort him? .. What does he sleep in, is it sort of closed in? because cats like to be in a almost closed environment they feel more safe

Answer #5

Yea he has a little kitty house with the towell that his mama laid on :(

Answer #6

I leave the tv on. I have tried giving it bits of chicken and it wont eat it. But i noticed today that there was a little food gone

Answer #7

Get an old fashioned hot water bottle. The rubber bag type with a stopper. Fill it with hot water (not boiling just tap) and wrap it in a towel of sorts so he doesn’t chew or puncture it. Lay it alongside of where the kitten sleeps. This mimics the warmth of laying beside his mom’s body or other kittens and he should sleep through the night.

Answer #8

I will try that. He is 4 months already and he is scared of me and runs off. Been 4 days i have had him now :/ poor kitty wont come out if under the couch till night time then starts meowing. I will try that but the water will get cold fast at night and he will just be at it again lol. He is gettin a little better everyday ..but not hardly at all

Answer #9

If the water is hot enough and you wrap it in a towel or blanket to insulate it so he only feels a warmth it should last quite awhile. Once he’s asleep he may not wake up because his own body warmth will be absorbed into the blanket. Give it a try, hopefully he’ll adjust soon.

Answer #10

Have not read any of the above answeres but mine is to not have a cat in the first place or forget about training a cat because it can’t be done. They will do whatever they want regardless no matter what. Cats are not trainable. They are selfish and manipulative. It’s all about them.
