Kitten cries when alone

I got my kitten yesterday.

But I’ve noticed one thing. If she’s not getting any attention, she crys.

Is this normal for a kitten just getting to a new home? What can I do so she doesn’t cry when I’m at work?

Answer #1

What wonderful idea’s. She will become independent soon enough and you will miss these needy days.

Answer #2

actually your mum’s idea is a pretty good one, but put a tee-shirt or something that smells of you on top of the towel… my cat loves to sleep on anything that smells of me…

Answer #3

She probably only cries right after you leave. Then she gets used to you being gone. when you come home, she gets excited to see you so she’ll cry if your’e not paying 100% of your attention to her. Just like kids!!!

Answer #4

My mom suggested putting a hotwater bottle (wrapped in a towel) on my bed for her to sleep next to. I’m going to try that when I go off to work.

Answer #5

How old is the kitten?

Answer #6

My puppy did that for a couple of days, I gave him a big stuffed toy to cuddle with and that seemed to work…

Answer #7

It’s normal. I have 2 cats, and when they were kittens, they cried a lot. It’s usually just separation from their mother.
