I don't like killing bugs

Home More advice Home & Garden

It's just really disturbing to me, especially when I think I killed something by accidentally sitting on it or putting my hand on it, and even if it's as simple as killing a mosquito I just can't bring myself to do it. This goes for small animals too, like baby mice or frogs. The thing is, I don't really want to get over it, since I don't want to kill anything, but I want to know why other people feel guilty when they kill something but I feel something else, it's kind of indescribable. I mean, I definitely feel guilty, too, but it's just something about crushing something to death that really scares me and I thought it was normal at first but I realized that other people can just step on spiders or smack a fly against the wall, and all they complain about is it being 'gross' when to me just the thought of doing something like that is horrifying(I might actually feel the same way about larger animals, but I've never been in a situation like that). I want to know if anyone else feels like this, since I haven't been able to relate to someone on this topic.

I'm sorry this question turned out being really long, too.
