I think if you’ve actually made it to your seventeenth birthday… things probably aren’t as miserable as they seem to you.

Answer #3

I’m just wondering how close you are to being 18. If you’re only a cpl months away it would be worth it. When you file for emancipation there are lots of things you must prove. Plus the cost and court hearings alone can be a long drawn out process.

Answer #4

i think that if you are not happy at all at home then yes you should get emancipated. i wanna get emancipated too but don’t know how to. so like if you can tell me what i have to do then i would really appreciate hearing from you.

Answer #5

I was emancipated when my parents died. The process took over 9 months and it was expedited. I can’t imagine it would be any quicker today. By the time your request goes through you will be 18 anyway. Bid your time and wait it out.
