Can someone help me with my introduction for my essay?

I have to write an essay on cheating in relationships for my English class. How can I start it off? I am really bad at writing introductions.

Answer #1

As in what is the topic?

Answer #2

Try to include a thesis. Here’s a good examples of an introduction for an analytical essay:

Through the uses of powerful ethos, vivid imagery, and outlandish hyperboles, Douglas Adams gets his thoughts on creativity and being one’s ownself in his book, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, only to further prove the point that if you’re not true to yourself, you’re not true to anyone.

You would do about the same thing for an argumentative essay, only you would use sources in which you could prove your OWN point, i.e. historical events, pop culture, books, etc. For a synthesis essay, combine the two ideas, (meaning, combine your analytical thesus statement with your argumentative statement.) Akways remember to have a universal idea!! And never say “I think”. You must stay confident in what you write, even if you know you’re wrong, or you’ll get points taken off for sure. Even if you’re wrong and you put up a decent, supporting argument you’ll be fine, I hope this helped!

Answer #3

The topic is cheating in relationships.

Answer #4

You could start begin your essay with a story from your own life about cheating, or being cheated on, or being suspicious that you were being cheated on.
