I want the abuse to stop

so my dad has recentally started drinking again, and he is a complete jack@$$ when he is drunk. he will yell at me for NO reason, I could just walk into the room and he will start saying crap like “I knew your mom should have gotten that abortion” and “you cant do anything right”.

sometimes I will just let it roll off my back, but I couldnt today, I snapped. I started yelling back at him and he got so mad that he pushed me into the bookshelf behind me. now my back is sore, and I don’t know if I have a bruise yet.

I’ve told my friends and they just try to say everything is going to be okay. bull crap. im scarerd. I want to move out but I only have 2 more months before I graduate from high school,

what should I do? and calling the police is NOT an opition. they will make it worse.

I have been in your very situation when I was about to graduate my mom and dad split up and my dads new girl friend who moved right in with us was also a heavy drinker. Things were out of control!!! They would fight with each other and fight with me daily. a teacher at school said I should stay with my sister at least until I graduated. I never would have but she actually called her for me. I slept in her basement for a few months and graduated at 17. After that I got my own rental house and moved on with my life completley on my own with no help. My dad drank until it almost killed him. I graduated 10 years ago now and things are great my dad has been sober for about a year and we have a good relationship now. Things will get better, After you are out of their house you will be able to make your own path. But if you need help becaues of abuse get out ASAP

Try to hold your temper. Tell your dad everything when he is not drunk. If he dont listen, tell our teacher or get anyone for help.

I hope everything will be fine soon.^^
