I want another chance!?

I went out with this guy named james for 5 months and he broke up with me because of the distance…Well 3 weeks after that he started going out with this girl named ashley…well they went out for a long time and the other night I found out he had a new girlfriend…Last night I text him and asked him if he hated me and he started calling and I didnt answer because I was scared and then he text me and told me to call him so we could talk so I did and we talked from 10:00 to 11:35 it was great…he told me that he missed me and that he thinks about me sometimes and he still remembers the good times we had he said he never remembers us arguing and we never did…and then he said that if we would have got to see each other more that we would prolly still be together right now…and he said that he did want to try again when he is single and he promised that when him and his new girlfriend break up hes going to call me and we are going to hang out and try it again…I really want him back! I just dont know how to get him back faster…What do you think I should do or is there anything I can do? I still have so many feelings for him…I told him that I thought we were perfect when we were going out and he said yeah I know…and he kept saying sorry! I just want another chance! Help what can I do!???
