How to LOSE weight?

First, determine from the information below, what your weight should be. Then set yourself goals of a week, 2 weeks, a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. As you see yourself meeting your goals it becomes easier. Remember, you didn’t gain your weight overnight so don’t expect to lose if overnight. Plus, weight lost slowly is more likely to stay off than weight lost in a hurry.

“How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?”

One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it’s not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

“What should a minimum calorie intake be?”

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

Try to think of a motivation that you can remember every time you feel as if you want to give in.

Do not try crash diets that are practically starving you like only eating fruit and veg, as soon as you start eating other foods, you body stores all of the fat from those foods.

Try to get a lot of support from family and friends and if you do not feel comfortable doing that join a diet group for support. This really helps most people.

Try not to think of it as a diet but a lifestyle choice.

Just think about all of the advantages of losing weight and the health benefits.

Find something that you really enjoy doing so that when you feel like you are going to give up on your lifestyle choice, do what you love doing to boost your mood and distract you from temptations.

Two words.

Will Power.

Just believe in yourself.

The best of luck,

Answer #3

Avoid eating proteins together with carbohydrates on the same day.

I did this for two months and lost 29 pounds.

This means you have either a protein day or a carbohydrate day.

Try to alternate them.

And do not let yourself get hungry on this diet - it messes up your biological rate - have some fruit.

Also the amount of protein or carbohydrate you can have is unlimited.

It does not require willpower - just takes a little organising of what meals you will make.
