I might be pregnant

when does implantation start? me and my boyfriend have had un protected sex since january 6th, I’ve had two normal periods, but this last one wasn’t normal at all…it lasted the same ammount of time, but it was spotting. at first it was brownish-pink.on the second day it was regular bleeding, but on the 3rd through 5th it was brown spotting. I’m nervous that I might be pregnant.

Typically implantation starts 5 to 6 days after ovulation. You can determine your ovulation period by calculating the amount of days in your cycle. Visit this website to calculate the dates. http://www.marchofdimes.com/pnhec/1808_1904.asp There is no sure way of finding out if you are pregnant by observing your spotting periods. I would either take a pregnancy and more importantly visit a doctor. If you are pregnant you want to take a test to be sure that you really are. If you find that you are not pregnant after taking this test than I strongly urge you to visit a doctor to see what the other causes of your spotting could be. These are a list of things it might be: -hormone imbalances -injury to the vagina or vulva -sexual abuse -infection in the uterus -polyps and fibroids (benign growths) in the uterus -cancer of the cervix -cancer of the uterus -some cancers of the ovaries -complications of an early (possibly unknown) pregnancy -ectopic pregnancy or threatened miscarriage

This may not be the case, but be on the safe side and find out from your doctor.

Answer #3

If you are nervous about being pregnant(and I assume this means you don’t want a pregnancy) then why were you having unprotected sex since Janurary 6th?

I would say you have good chances of being pregnant. You should see a doctor and begin prenatal care right away.
