I dont want to lose him ;(

I have a friend, whom I’ll call Fluffy , and he’d been having some relationship problems, could never find the right girl, and he and his girlfriend of a year broke up two months ago. So, about a week ago we were talking about music when he suddenly told me he was in love with me. I didn’t know what to do, I had thought about him that way but I knew I ddn’t like him as more than a friend. I figured I should at least give him a chance so I did, and my feelings didn’t change. Two days ago, he again told me he loved me, that he’d never felt the way he did for me for any other girl and he knew I was the one he wanted to be with and then he said “You do want to be with me right?” I just told him the truth as nicely as possible, basically that my love for him probably wouldn’t exceed past friendship, “Im not in love with you, but I love you as a friend”. He was pretty hurt and didnt talk to me for about two days, but we finally talked it out, and he says he’s still in love with me, although we’re only going to be friends. I thought everything would be okay but he isn’t treating me the same, in fact he’s hasn’t talked to all day. I value his friendship and I really dont want to lose him, but what can I do?

Wow that’s hard you should tell him that you love him and would do about almost anything for him. But, tell him im sorry but you can force me to love you in a boyfriend girlfriend kind of thing .and if he asks you how hes doing that to you, tell him for not talking to me

Hopefully this help Love, T-97

I think you did the right think by being honest and upfront with him. I don’t think anyone should ever be strung along or misled in a relationship. You are a true friend. He will appreciate you for that.
