How to repair a floor in a mobile home that has been wet?

Answer #1

how to fix wet floor

Answer #2

If its an older one, do yourself a favor and replace the watersoaked sawdust-based “particleboard” with plywood. Don’t try and patch, replace the whole floor in the affected area. Damaged particleboard is EXTREMELY dangerous. I’m replacing ALL the floors, had major water leak. OSB isn’t a good option either. A little better than particleboard, but poor water resistance. Some say CDX plywood is a bad choice, but its cheap, strong and water-resistant. NOTHING is worse than the sawdust and glue they built these things with. It’s surprising these cheap floors have lasted as long as they have.

Answer #3

You can either cut out the soft spots or holes and replace them with plywood or redo the entire floor.
