Please I need help I had my baby on dha 21..and my I just got my breast milk like 2 dfays ago..and now it starting to hurt..im not breastfeeding..I want to get relive dha pain now..what can I do to dry my milk faster..

Answer #1

if you pump it more milk will come in, and it will take longer to dry up. cabbage leaves do help. you could also confine your breast with a sports bra, and that could help. but really you just have to wait it out. but if you are not nursing DO NOT pump the milk out, it will just take longer if you.

Answer #2

Do not use any heat as this only stimulates flo use an ice pack or refrigerated green cabbage leaves. Also taking in antihistimine will help like benadryl, use ice packs to help. wrap up tight but not too tight or your boobs will end up like centerblocks and hurt worse. Good luck the pain should last about 72 hours and your milk should go away in about a week or 10 days

Answer #3

Believe it or not, cabbage leaves help dry it up…I was in a TON of pain when my milk came in (I also didn’t breast feed) My doctor told me to buy a head of cabbage and to pull off an entire leaf and place one on each breast before I went to bed at night. It worked in like, 2 days, if even that!

I know it’s weird, but it worked GREAT!! I thought she was crazy, but I was willing to try anything to stop being so uncomfortable.

Answer #4

you cant make the milk dry up what you should do is by a breast pump you can use that to take out the milk and either feed it to your baby or not

Answer #5

It will dry up in it’s own time, but you can’t do anything to make the process quicker - it’s uncomfortable and painful for several days, but that’s just one of the great things about being a new mom.

Answer #6

y not just get a breast pump and pump it out and the baby could drink in a bottle? and you wont have that pain =]
