How to find the one?

Dear kcaz67, It’s very rare to meet someone and love them right away. This would be lust and not a basis for a immediate commitment. Love takes time to nurture, grow and mature. This is why when we get older we don’t do so much casual dating but we start to date on a more committed level. We begin with the first impression and if we find this suitable (this is where the differences happen with younger and older persons) the younger ones hang out with friendship in mind. Having several friends of the opposite sex and going to movies, shows etc. with several different people. As we get older we pursue one at a time looking for the committed relationship. One perhaps we will marry and have a family with. We date this person and only this person getting to know them on a deep level. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t and we part are ways. So we don’t know who this person will be until we have these committed relationships that are intended to be long term. Sue…good luck
