How to dye faded black/blue hair light brown?

Hey guys.. So I dyed my hair a bluey black a few months back, looked awesome, but am now sick of it. It isn’t a vibrant colour anymore, infact it has faded to a darkish brown with a little blue in it. I want to go back to having light brown/medium brown hair, Is there anyway I could do this at home without bleaching? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hmm, I dyed my hair black years ago.. BIGGEST mistake ever. I’m a natural redhead, to get my natural colour back I had to go to the hairdressers and they put some chemical on it to go back to normal, which took 7 hours and £90 of my money.. But, it was worth it. Depends on what dye you used whether you can do it yourself.

there is NO WAY to lighten hair without bleaching. Im a hairdresser and you can go buy all the boxes of light brown hair color you want, it wont do anything. I suggest you go to a hairdresser to bleach your hair for you, and color it the brown for you. DO NOT play around with bleach at home by yourself. Nothing pushes my buttons more. I do not think people understand how strong of a chemical bleach is. It can completely kill your hair if you do not do it right. Go to a hairdresser because it will be worth the money you pay to get it done professionally, rather than pay 6 bucks for box hair color and 10 bucks for bleach and completely destroy the healthiness and overall look of your hair color. And the “chemical” that chloe lou10 is talking about is indeed bleach. its the only way.

Listen to xxpridexx!!! Make sure you go to an experienced hairdresser too! I speak from experience and I even went to an upscale salon. I never had an issue with the hairdresser before, but when she tried to bleach/highlight my top layer, she left it on too long b/c my ends were so dark and wouldnt go past being orange and she didnt deactivate the bleach on my roots which were done and my hair burnt off!!! What a disaster! I found a new hairdresser and she did a shampoo/bleach to remove my all over color on my hair (which was very dark brown/black) and then put on a medium dark brown color all over. My hair is so much better now. I really just wanted to go a few shades lighter like you and now have accomplished this!! Just remember to go to a professional!!!
