How old is the earth according to the bible?
How old is the earth according to the bible?
It doesn’t say, as when you read it, you can easily add up the ages of the people decended from Adam & Eve, and arrive at somewhere around 10,000 years…however, Christians & anybody who believes in the Torah (aka, the old testament) will point out that the “seven days” God spent to create the universe aren’t defined, and that it could be metaphorical :)
Why one metaphor is OK in the old testament, but most of the rest is supposedly literal…is simply beyond my comprehension.
