How long does it take for acne scars to show up

I’m guessing it takes a while? Because I only see older people with them and don’t get them after I pick on my pimples.

a lot of old people with those scars had something else… I think lupus, that caused those scars. acne scars are evident as the pimple does not heal, turns red, might leave a pox. and dont pick at pimples! let them live their pimple life and then they wont scar.

scars are scars, if you pick your face until there is a scab and then keep picking the scab off, you will develop a scar, same if you keep picking a scab off of your leg. having them show up later in life is bull.

you dont see as many young people with the scars now because there are treatments like creams and even pills that werent around in the 80’s.

I dont have scars but I have red marks that will go away in a couple months. you might b the same way. bottom line its best not to pick pimples. they go away faster if you leave them and put on medicine,

not til your 20’s then in your 40’s you can really really see them.
