How does a 17 year old girl lose a little weight all around?

Ok, so I’m female, 17 years old, I weigh about 145 lbs, and am 5’7. I have stomach fat, and I think even a little cellulite on my thighs. But I’m pretty active, and I don’t eat too unhealthily. I really want to lose like10-15 pounds…what’s the best way to do it?

First off keep a journal of what you eat in a day and how many calories you take in (guess if you must but try to be as accurate as possible). Then go onto mayoclinic.com and check out their calorie calculators. They have one that tells you how many calories you need in a day to maintain your weight so try to eat about 300-500 calories less than that range. So for example I take in 2800 calories a day to keep myself at 180 pounds, but if I want to lose weight I eat 2500 calories and workout in the day taking out another 200-300 calories placing me at 2200-2300 calories a day. That means I lost 500 to 600 calories a day. There are roughly 3500 calories in a pound of fat, so aim to lose that over the course of a week and youll lose a pound a week. But heres the great part, in doing this youll actually lose more weight as your metabolism kicks up via working out. My last tip to you is to eat 5 smaller meals a day as opposed to 3 large ones a day. Think of your metabolism as a furnace, when you throw wood into it in large bundles the fire burns but just not as fast, where as if you keep placing smaller amounts of wood in it continues to burn and heat up faster and faster. Message me if this doesnt make sense at all. Hope I helped!

Eat fruits like 6 fruits and veggies a day. Well like every other day I would say. Do sit ups as many a day try 2 increase it by like 5 a day or more. run a coupl blocks unless you have a park and jog there. Drink water when exercising don’t drink any other beverages you get more sugar in u. I’m 16 and about the same weight as you so I do this and I lost like 5 pounds and dropping. Have any other questions let me know. THX Kelsey <3

I do sit ups a lot…like 30-60 a night, but I don’t feel like they’re doing anything. Also, they say they make your waist bigger. How many do you do, and how far do you run?

I say you go to the gym…I don’t know…
