here’s what I do and I will add what you can do if you might be lacking in the $$$ department. I buy my makeup products over time.

  • prime eyes with urban decay primer potion (use a concealer mixed with a bit of moisturizer)
  • using a shader eyeshadow brush such as M.A.C 239 (go to a craft store and pick up some paint brushes that are similar) I use a very light silver/gray and apply just below the brow bone.
  • using a blending brush M.A.C 217 I apply a darker silver / sparkly color to the crease
  • and on the lid I use a black using the same brush.
  • then I grab a different a eye brush and apply a highlighter color to the brow bone (a nude / natural color)
  • then I use a pencil brush M.A.C 219 and line my tearduct area with the lightest color I used
  • then I blend out the harsh lines and make everything look soft
  • next line the waterline with my urban decay 24/7 pencil in zero (any black eyeliner will do)
  • I then dab on black eyeshadow using M.A.C 212 over the waterline to set in the eyeliner
  • next I line my lower and upper lash line with a black liquid liner
  • I curl my lashes and apply a black mascara

I use all M.A.C and urban decay products and brushes but you can find these colors in drug stores, I recommend the revolon smoky eye pallets.

start with a grey, metalic, gold , or colorful color all over eye lid…use your finger or the small sponge stick that comes with most shadows. then take black shadow and start on the outer corners of the eye and swip over frist layer dont completely cover it up tho make just a translucent lawer. so on the outer corner go a bit above the eye bone…right above your top eyelid crease. dont go to high or itll look like a hooker. lol. make the black/metallic shadow darkest/thikest on the outside corners. plus use a brush not the eye shadow sponge stick thing for the layer of black/metalic. go to google and look up smokey eyes or in a magazine…itll help you understand with a visual aid. :) plus I’ve seen pictures in a mag that tke you step by step on a how to do smokey eye. that should help too :]
