How do I get over him?

I need to get over my ex!!! Every time I think about him I cry or get the worst pain in my stomach. It feels terrible and I dont know what to do… I mean were still friends were still close and he said there is a possibility of us going out again …but honestly I dont feel it. I feel like he’s officially let me go… Were not as close and I need to find a way to get over him im hearing so many rumors at school…and each one I hear when I confront him about it he says they are not true and I do believe him. Like he came over the other day and I just felt amazing because it seemed like nothings changed except we didnt kiss…we were close but no… And I was thinking if I let him go…like ignore him and avoid him would it help me ??? What do you think??? Any other ways I can get over him? And when I mean ignore him I mean literally like not answer his ims or txt messages… Or answer them and be myself but dont see him…
