How do I ask my boyfriend to stop smoking?

Agreed with ty. It’s pretty ridiculous that you can’t even have a basic conversation with someone you’re about to move in with. And even more ridiculous that you’re moving in with someone that has mannerisms and traits that you find abhorrent, like you’re going to swoop in and fix him. I’m really starting to have serious doubts about how truthful these posts are. It seems that all you ever ask about are things relating to moving in with your boyfriend. The fact that you constantly state both your ages and his duplex is very suspicious. It’s starting to really feel like a troll that’s just fishing for reactions.

yes, that’s a good idea. ^^ just tell him to at least lower how many he smokes. because it’s hard to just stop cold. he’s gonna sneak it behind your back if it’s too sudden, because the addiction is really strong. if he smokes like 5 a day, make it to 3. then to 2. then 1. then eventually none. ^^ but it will take time, because addictions are called addictions for a reason. x] be patient with him! ^_^

thanks and ty..I can talk to him about whatever I want and need…Thanks you others…I think I’ll tell him I won’t move in unless he quit..Me (the sun to his sky) or cigs(the cause of his death)..I’m gone if he doesn’t stop or lower down…

You’re moving in a with a guy but you cant talk to him about something that basic? Dont you think it is something to discuss before you move in with him? And you cant make him stop smoking, you can have him not smoke in the house or when he’s around you…

Give him facts about smoking and what it can do to his body, have him learn a little deaper about smoking, and really it’s all up to him, he decided to start smoking in the first place so if he wants to stop then he will if he dosent then he wont I mean he is 17 and he knows by know what he is doing to himself..

if you ask him to stop because you are worried about his health he should, if he loves you he will.. just likeevelynpearl sed make him pick between you or them, may b hard but its the best way to do it, your only worried about his health if he is smoking around you he is doing the same to you. hey, the way I made my guy to quit smoking was I black mailed him, I aske him to choose between me and the cig’s, he first chose cig I just walked out of the room and just told him lead a happy life with your cig’s, for 2day’s I don’t see him or call him the 3rd day he came back to me and told that he wants me and quit smoking the same min. try it out it may work. or else if he doesn’t like you to smoke tell him tat even u’ll start to smoke if he wont quit.

Thanks..I can’t Just make him quit,,,cold,,,He smokes like 6 times a day…I hate it!!!
