How come love hurts so bad even after a breakup? what should I do?

I’m married and have kids…I got into another relationship and was going on for 2 years. he is our friend and also single. I loved him so much so did he. a month ago he told me we have to stop this because its not right to cheat on my husband. He moved on a bit but still we talk not as much as before just casual once a day. but I can’t stop loving him and I can’t stop thinking about him I can’t stop talking about the time we had. so obsessed…it hurts me inside out all the time. on other side my family I have a happy family a husband who loves me so much and kids as well. I don’t know what to do. I can’t focus on anything.

Focus on your children. They are the most innocent and important ones to consider. If you love your children, then you already KNOW the right thing to do. Stop acting like a teen-age CHILD yourself, stop this affair you have been having immediately, and never mention it again to anybody.

Telling your husband would only give him a reason for a divorce and that would ruin your children’s lives. You need to live with this secret, no matter how much it may hurt you, and you need to protect your children from it for their entire lives.

Or, you can just say “Screw it” to your husband and kids, ruin their lives, and leave them to go off with this other guy. I wouldn’t recommend that, but it’s the only other option. There is no middle.

Why would you do that?!?!?!?!?!??? You’ve been cheating on your husband who you have kids with for 2 years!!! You say that he loves you so much, and it doesn’t sound like he’s doing anything bad??? You don’t love your husband at all if you capable of doing that. That’s one of the most unfair things I’ve heard in a long while. As much as that guy is at fault as you are, he’s right, that’s terrible for cheating on your husband like that. I don’t know what to tell you about this, except for you’ve dug yourself a nice deep hole to get stuck in. Sorry
