You have to remember that you are only 13 years old. You may feel like you are all grown up but you are still a child. A mother has so many things to worry about - I mean can you blame her. A young girl is more likely to be raped, kidnapped, get knocked up, slipped drugs, experiment with drugs, drink, have sex, etc. I’m not saying any of these things you do or will happen to you - I’m just saying they go through a mother’s head.

All you can do is ask her politely and show her you are responsible. Keep your grades up, clean your room, do your chores, help around the house, etc. A parent is more likely to give you more privledges if you are acting responsible. Although if she says no - do not throw a hissy fit and act like a child - all that shows her is that you are not mature enough to be out by yourself. Instead, be mature and say allright and do not whine.

Mandyloo is right. Show her that you ARE responsible. Gain trust from your mom.

My parents did the same and I made sure that I was responsible and now I don’t have a curfew at all and I can do what I want. Good luck :-)

omg! my mom let me go out with my friends when I was 12 years old. lol. just talk to your mom, she deifinitely has a trust problem because my mom never called me unless it is time for me to come home or if it is an emergency!

At 13 you don’t have a lot of experience and be taken advantage of - your mother’s doing her job - looking after your best interests, loving you, and Caring - many, many, don’t care - be Thankful - show her now in everything you can be responsible - that great impression, and the ‘ease-up’ will be sooner…I wish you the best !!

Oh good lord. I went through that a while back.. One way to get her to let you go out is just be honest with her when she asks about something,. Talk to her about everything, even if you have to make up lies that make you sound responsible. Like.. “Today at school there was this girl who came up to me and asked me if I’d smoke pot with her, and I told her no because I don’t want a life like that.” ..You earn trust from parents by being respectful, honest, and responsible.
