how can I keep a member of my family healthy(read and answer) :] ?

Okay so I have lived with my grandmother since I was born. She barley turned 71 she has diabetes for about 10 years now and she claims she always has pain around her hips and kidney areas. she had a lab done and doctors say shes fine. shes about 5’ 2 and weighs 197. her hands and feet are dead skin and really scratchy. she claims they burn, she has trouble walking some times. she is german and had her gall bladder removed I believe. she has joit and muscle pain. what medicines are good for joint and muscle? what creams are good for rough skin on hands and feet? should I get a bicycle machine so she can make her bones stronger? should I take her to get a full body check to make sure everything is working correctly? and does anyone know how to eat health like the Chinese and Japanese? I mean no harm to the other cultures its just that the asians seem to live so long and are very healthy! and would green tea and those patches you put on the bottom of the feet to get rid of toxins work? she does not smoke and does not drink but she like to drink coffee like everyday without sugar and she takes her diabetes pills daily and she has cholesterol pilss but does not take them. should she? please help I need information and shes a big part of my life. the only faith I have is that God will keep her with me til I can stand on my feet alone. im trying to get her to see that God is real and he will be there for us and I want to get her baptized and start all over. im 15 and I want her to see my wedding and first child, ect. please if you have any information or thoughts I am open to anything. thank you, may God bless your souls.

Wow you are asking for a lot of answers so I will try to help you to the best of my ability, first of all yes your grandmother should be taking her cholesterol medicine, second one cup of coffee a day should be fine, green tea is a great antioxidant, I have my doubts regarding the patches for the feet, Gold Bond medicated skin cream may be the best for her dry skin, the bicycle machine at her current fitness level is a bad idea, she needs less strenuous exercises specifically designed for seniors, she may have arthiritis in her joints and hips so a good anti-inflammatory is a good choice, calcium supplements will help make her bones stronger and not a bad idea for a woman her age anyway, the reason Asian diets are healthier is because they naturally incorporate fish, poultry, whole grain rice, vegetables and teas in their diets all of which are good anti-oxidants and have little to no fats, in fact the fish is rich in omega three fatty acids which are good for us. If I can be of any further help let me know, I work with the elderly.
