How can I help her?

Ok so the thing is my girlfriend is like in terrible pain because she says her stomach hurts and the doc said that it might be her appendix and that they’ll give her 72hrs until her stomach settles and if not they’ll operate on her thing is she’s only 14,5’6 and 101lbs if that helps and she’s not very good with pain and I was wondering what I could do to help ease her pain because I don’t like that she’s suffering any help? Bwt:Doc told her not to take any pills and stuff as it might upset her stomach

She has a BMI of 16.3.

BMI is equal to or less than 18.5 (Underweight)

A lean BMI can indicate that your weight maybe too low. You should consult your physician to determine if you should gain weight, as low body mass can decrease your body’s immune system, which could lead to ilness such as disappearance of periods (women), bone loss, malnutrition and other conditions. The lower your BMI the greater these risks become.   bmi calculator:

She is unhealthy. Her pains could be from lots of things. It might be her body’’s way of trying to get her attention to her nutritional deficiencies.

If that doctor really thinks that it might be appendicitis, then he should have her in the hospital now. I think she might need a second opinion.

Whatever the problem turns out to be, afterward you need to try to help her understand that she has a serious eating disorder and needs to work at overcoming it before it does permanent or even fatal damage to her.

I guess thats the hardest part, when you know she’s hurting and you cant do anything… I guess all you have to do is to be there for her no matter what..dont ever leave her…thats all…hope shes going to be ok..

Answer #3

I find it odd that her doc is going to wait for 72 hours to see if it is appendicitis. MOst of the time if that is suspected the act pretty fast on it.

You really can’t do anything to help her pain except be there to offer comfort. I know it’s hard to watch a friend and not be able to do anything. I hope she feels better soon!

She’s not underweight she looks and seems healthy I mean she does pretty ormal stuff she actually looks healthy because she did do a lot of excercises at school so she’s pretty fit and trust me she does not look underweight and she doesn’t have an eatin disorder I know that for a fact she’s just very active and healthy

But I need to know what I can do for her to help with her pain so help with that please? Btw: she took a guess at her weight she doesn’t know how much she weighs she forgot to weigh herself at the doc’s but she looks like more than 101 because I have a friend who’s 105 and looks thinner than my girlfriend so that how I know she’s not really 101
