how can I get my friend to listen to me??

all my friend talks about is using drugs. he’s 16 also and already smoked weed…now hes talking about pills. and I told him a few times if he does, theres going to be a few problems. and he still goes “well aint that a b*tch”…so clearly he doesnt care, but I dont feel like going to a funeral of my best guy friend at age 16…PLEASE give me advice on what else I should do.

I think you should find a time for him so you can talk to him. Talk to him in a non-judgmental way, tell him about your feelings. Say something like “whenever you talk about drugs/weeds, I get really worried because you are just putting yourself in danger.” But saying something like “you should stop smoking/abusing drugs” is a turn-off. If he is already a drug addict, you need to get help from an adult or psychologist. Because once he is a drug addict, things can go very wrong and may be too late. Try talking to his parents, but if they’re not aware of the facts that he is smoking and using drugs, you will need words to confront them.

well because hes 16 he thinks its cool and express to him how it isnt and the risk from smoking you should also use the guilt card and tell him how bad you would feel if anything happend to him and if he really caredd about you he wouldnt hurt you or cause you pain and tell him to think about his family AND HOW dying is serious hope I helped

Try talking to him some more, or get him to read some leaflets about drug use and the risks. If he still doesn’t talk, try asking the advice of a teacher or parent. Remember, as sad as it is, it’s still his life, and it’s up to him how he decides to run it. Just let him know the danger and harm that it’s doing to him and to yourself. Let him know he has a friend in you no matter what happens during or after.
