Meaby they wont tell you for a reason, meaby your grandpa is not really nce but I guess is your choice if going to go find him, I would try to call the jails that he was in and all and if he is not in there the I guess goolong his name like the obove said. Meaby looking him in a phone directory. Finding out what where he lives know and all. If you jave money traying to hire a private invistigator, that’s more efective. But it all comes down to what you want,

Maybe you can send a letter to the prison and ask if they know his current address? They won’t probably give it to you. But if there’s a nice person in the administration, you might be able to send them a letter for your dad with a blank envelope and a stamp and then they’ll be sending it to him.

Then you ask your dad about himself and his family. Maybe he isn’t so much of a bad person anymore. Time in prison can change people. Some repent and become better people. Some start being religious. Maybe he’s sorry for what he did when he was younger. But then maybe he’s not. Some people even get worse in prison. So never agree to meet with anyone unless you have a trustworthy person in your company.

You can start looking at the Inmate lists of the prisons. If you know his name that would be really helpful. From there you can then find all sorts of information.
