How to make a homemade plant cover?
I have just replanted my carrots and spring onion seedlings and I need something to cover them to protect them from birds and snails and slugs. I did have a plant cover but I can’t find it. Could I use a bin liner with holes poked in it or should I use something else?
You can use a plastic coke bottle and cut off the bottom and place it over the seedlings. You can also take egg shells and crack them into pieces and throw them on the ground around the seedlings as a deterrent to snails.

Any can or something similar can use, you can even use a bucket, just poke holes in the top.
