how high is the sky from the ground we walk on to the outside outer layer of the earth?

Answer #1

Which layer? There are many layers of atmosphere.

Answer #2

There’s no absolute limit, but 100,000 feet is pretty much a good stopping point. The absolute limit is about 62 miles! Even at that, that’s a pretty thin layer between us and the vacuum of space. Heh, I didn’t fall asleep in that science class, for a change.
