How can I hide an underwear line/bump under a tight dress?

It’s my mum’s birthday party tonight, it’s dress up and I’m a police woman. My dress is black and quite tight. I tried it on before and my underwear leave a line around my waist which I don’t want. What can I do (besides wearing no underwear lol) to make the line/bump go away?

Have you ever tried wearing a body spanx? They are great for making your bra lines and panty lines disapeer since they smooth everything out. They are actually pretty comfortable too and they suck you in and make you look skinner.
