How to let go of my ex?

Believe me I know how you feel. It’s been almost 3 years for me to and I still love him more than ever. We broke up 3 diff. times before we broke it off 4 what seems to be 4 good. Our timing was always off we always seemed to want it when the other didn’t. But we still talk and he still says he loves me even tho he’s w/ someone else which just makes it harder and I haven’t had a real relationship since by my own choice. And as much as I think someone else would be good 4 me I still hve a hard time w/ it b/c it wont be fare to whoever I am w/ if I still love my ex. Another thing is that he is trying to keep her a secret, and he doesn’t know I know he has a girlfriend. which makes me think that if he can cheat on her, he could do the same to me if we ever did get bac together but I still love him like no other even knowing all that. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS

This is one of the hardest things to do - but it’s the only way in my opinion. That is, break off all contact completely, and every memory of him. If you have stuff he gave you, toys, books, CDs, clothes, pack them away until you can honestly say you’re over him… or better, give them away to charity… No phone calls, no text messages, no instant messenger, no running into him accidentally at places you know he’ll be… you have to be extreme, otherwise it’s long slow torture, confusion, and no resolution. In six months, you will be amazed that some days have gone past where you havent thought about him even once. By keeping his girlfriend, and telling you he still loves you, AND keeping her a secret, he is being weak and selfish, and totally insincere. You might also not really be in love with him anymore. You might be in love with the history the two of you had.
