What will happen when they go into my state records?

I’m not sure that’s the real name for it, but basically I got arrested back in Aug, for a misdemeanor. It happened at my moms when I was visiting over the summer and then went back for school with my dad. I recently came back in Jan, and have had no other trouble with the law in my life. Now my boyfriend wants me to go back up to North Carolina for prom and I have to get a form filled out with stuff and they check my background records. The police told me it would not go down permantly if I didn’t get in any trouble, and shouldn’t be viewable because i’m a minor and was under the age of 16. Is there still a chance that the school would be able to see it? And if so would there be a chance of me not being allowed to go even if it was a misdemeanor?

Answer #1

No they won’t c it

Answer #2

Nope all they can hope for because your a minor is that you’ll supply them with the info. Records on minors are sealed (if you would even have one).

Answer #3

I think it goes on your record once you turn 18. Until then, I don’t think it really matters.

Answer #4

nope… it goes down till your 18 and then they sponge your record… but i dont think they will hold it against you. :) i hope it;s not a seriouse thing you got in trouble for, but good luck and have fun! :) (be safe, k?)

Answer #5

once you turn 18 your record is cleared of all charges. unless there really big like you killed someone and if you did more then likley youd be in prison
