Is 3 months old too young to go trick or treating?

I have a 3 month old son and me and fiance have conflicting views on halloween. Do you think that 3 months old is too young to go trick or treating? Seeing as how he can’t eat candy anyways or talk? The zoo near our house has Boo and the Zoo the weekend before Halloween. Do you think 3 months old is too young to go to the zoo? Would he even enjoy it or know what is going on?

Answer #1

3 month old might like the colors, that’s about it - too young to comprehend yet - next year for fun but avoid scarey stuff/situations…Take care !!

Answer #3

Seriously, its not that young, your kid is past the stage where everyone has to wash their hands before they touch the baby because his immune system was still developing. GO OUT AND HAVE FUN, ENJOY YOUR FIANCE, YOURSELF, AND YOUR BABY!

Answer #4

No I don’t think thats too young, and he may not remember it but you will always remember his first Halloween might as well make it as fun as you can!

Answer #8

I just thought about it and I think my mom told me last night that my sister and I(twins) were tigers on our first Halloween!

Answer #9

I took my son when he was 2 weeks old. It’s not about if they can trick or treat, think of it as making memories. I have a lot of pictures of taking my kids to the zoo for trick or treat when they were babies and they love looking at them. You’ll be spending time together and enjoying yourselves, that’s what’s important.

Answer #10

I put him in his costume the other day to take pictures to send to my mother. He’s going as a Tiger (I live in louisiana, LSU tigers)! It was my fiance’s idea. Here let me attach a picture:

Answer #11

Be honest about who it’s really for, and I think your issues will be resolved :) I still eat my son’s hallowe’en candy…

Answer #12

I think you should go for it - He may not remember it but that doesn’t mean he wont enjoy it. I’ve seen lots of couples come to my door Halloween night with babies and they are so adorable to see in their little costumes. I don’t see any harm in taking him out, it could be fun for you and your fiance.

Answer #13

That’s what I was thinking, I guess I was just worried that people would think it was silly to bring him trick or treating or to the zoo, when he’s not old enough to remember it or even comprehend what’s going on.

Answer #14

He has a costume already, I’m just not sure if were doing anything just yet.

Answer #15

Hey Mandyloo, emmm well yeah it is a bit to younge maybe just taking him around you friends and neibourghs dressed up would be nice but make the point to say no to them giving you any thing.. you no because if they do they might think its you wanting it because he cant have it… but dressing them up all cute is fun..X

Answer #16

I dressed my daughter up as a tiger last year for her first halloween! We didn’t go trick-or-treating, but we answered the door to hand out candy and then we went around to family and friends houses to show her off! lol People thought it was so cute that she was helping hand out candy! She was 7 months, and we could’ve went out, but it was a little too chilly for me! haha

It can’t hurt anything! As long as there’s pics for him to see how cute he was! lol He’s adorable and everyone will love that he’s dressed up! :)

Answer #17

I was 5 months old when I went trick or treating for the first time.

Answer #18

I hope you take a pictures! What are you dressing him up as?

Answer #19

Lol, thanks. I think were going to go ahead and go.
