Would you rather have your hair chemically straightened or use a flat iron everyday?

My hair is naturally curly/wavy and I’m not someone who likes to use heat often, but I just got a haircut and I don’t like the way my hair looks unless it is straight. As of now, I’ve been using a flat iron with heat protectant. I’m thinking about getting my hair chemically straightened, but it’s expensive and you have to get it retouched. I’m really stuck between the two because they BOTH have their pros and cons. I understand both methods contain some form of damage but do you think one is better than the other? What would you choose?

A few years ago I really hated my curly hair and I wanted to get it chemically treated. But after weighing the pros and cons, I decided against it and I decided to just accept and love my hair the way it is :) If you chemically treat it, it will burn your scalp and will damage your hair WAY more than straightening it with a flat iron especially if you’re using a heat protectant. If you decide you want your hair curly again, you will either have to grow it out just as is with curly roots and straight ends and chop off the straight ends as it grows or you have to shave your head… I suggest you stick with a flat iron and just grow your hair out to a length you prefer. Love your hair, it’s exactly as it grows out of your head :)

Flat iron everyday because if you happen to want to have it wavy or curly for the day it’s possible. It gives you way more freedom in styling.

Look, I have straight hair and I really wanted curly hair but when I finally got it curly properly I wanted it straight again cuz it just weren’t me , I think u want curly hair cuts we all want what we can’t have and I personally would stay with which ever one u r now :) but if your still really fanatical bout having straight I would just go with hair straighteners so u can a lease go back to Bering u and go to what you think looks better on you :) x wish u luck x
