How do you guys feel about modeling in a bikini for an art class?

So at college today I saw an ad for an art class at the community college that’s looking for models to pose in front of a class for 2 and a half hours so they can draw you. It’s $10 an hour for clothed and $20 for nude (I’m doing clothed of course). I called the lady and she asked me if I was comfortable wearing a bikini so the students can learn bone structure. I think it would be fine, but my mom is scared because she feels that there could be a bunch of weirdos in the class just taking it because they heard there would be nude models. Cameras are not allowed in the class and the doors are locked after class begins so no one comes in. What do you guys think? It’s only on Mondays and Wednesdays for a couple hours. I’ve been applying for A LOT of jobs but I haven’t gotten any replies yet…

Answer #1

If you’re comfortable with it, I don’t see why you shouldn’t do it.

Answer #2

I think it’s all right! As girls wear bikini on beaches! So why not!

Answer #3

No problem, I did a nude shot (from behind) for my friends photography project as wheel as shots in underwear and a front topless shot, although my arms were covering up my chest. It wasn’t done in front of a class, but they were shown to lots of people. They are looking for people to pose for a life drawing session which would be nude and I’ve seriously considered it, but I don’t think I could stand there for the time needed. I don’t need the money I just thought it would be interesting to do do and see how I was interpreted by artists.

Answer #5

As wheel? obviously as well!

Answer #6

I personally would not do it….too many perverts of all ages out there these days…

I was an art model in college. There is absolutely nothing wrong with art modeling. The students are serious about learning and are professional. If they just wanted to oggle a naked woman there are a lot easier and cheaper ways than signing up for a college class. I was a little apprehensive about posing nude but it turned out to be no big deal. I felt perfectly comfortable even on day one. One of the times I posed with a pregnant woman. The professor asked me to look more paternal. I looked at him and said, “Look, I’m only 19 so I have no life experiences to draw on to look more paternal” and the whole class about died laughing. Another time my wife met with a friend she met on-line who turned out to be a little old octogenarian lady. At one point my wife explained, “hope you aren’t scandalized by this but my husband was an art model when he was in college.” She replied no problem and that she too was an art model in college. That must have been in the 1920’s! Who’da thunkit? My advice is to go all the way and pose nude. It will be better for the artists and getting comfortable with your body will be liberating for you.

You’re an adult and you can choose what you wish - just remember as you get older what you do when your young can bite you in the butt later on or encourage others to follow. Unfortunately, here in the US there are alot of people or clubs or whatever deem anything nude to be out right wrong - (puritains). Just remember whatever you do do it without regret in your future. And Niky is right to some extent, but as a woman who dresses as she pleases should be comfortable for who she is; however, why is it when a man that is cute looks they get a smile, yet, with a man that is ugly gets the lable of being a pervert?
