What is your guy's opinion?

I really like music like Ke$ha, and Evanescence and other stuff like that. I grew up being restricted only to country music. My mother doesn’t like me listening to 102.3 or 104.7 or Mix FM (I don’t really like Mix FM), because she doesn’t believe that they are appropriate stations. I have listened to country music all my life, so a while ago, I started sneaking to listen to my type of music. I tried to ask her if I could before hand, and she didn’t stop, and listen so I could explain my reasons. Its like she doesn’t understand me. I don’t listen to the words, but I like the beat of the songs. Country music is to slow, and I cant dance to it, and actually have fun, and enjoy myself. So what is your guy’s opinion? Is my mom right?

Listen to the kind of music that you want. For most people music is their only escape and honestly I don’t think anyone should have to pick your taste for you.
