Lately she had been getting out of breath easily, from walking across a room or other short activities like that. She refuses to see a doctor saying she is fine and just out if breath from the movement. This morning however she was woken up by her her shortness of breath. We wanted top take her to the ER but she did not want to saying that it would get better if she lay. Well she is breathing normally now but it was the worst she's had since. She needs to go to a doctor right?
If this continues then yes she does. Shortness of breath can be the result of many things.....her body is talking to her. It can be anything from heart trouble to allergies and everything in between. Keep an eye on her. Tell her you love her and are worried. Ask her to please get checked out.
Thank you. In the end we had to get her to the ER view ambulance because she had a second and very severe episode this same morning. Thank god she is stable now.
Yes she needs to go to the doc, does she have COPD? That's kinda what it sounds like
You can never be to careful with elderly. I'd take her to the hospital.
No harm in getting her checked out.
Keep us posted.
