Girlfriend stuff... advice?

Hey, I’m John. My girlfriend and I have been together for about 6 months. I have this social anxiety thing that I try to deal with so yeah. This will probably sound a little strange but it’s three in the morning so whatever.. When were kissing I get a little worried about where to put my hands. Usually I’ll put my hands by her waist and sometimes I’ll touch her face. But that gets a little old.. So I figured I’d try something new haha.. But I don’t know exactly what. I’m just kinda scared about how shell react. And when were kissing I get really self concious and I think that I’m gonna mess something real bad. Like she slowly open her lips more and I like that heh but I freak cause I know I’d f*ck somethin up bad.. I just wanna take control of things haha and make it less awkward. I want to be more confident than she is.. But I don’t know what to do next. What other stuff should I do and how can I get more confident?

I think, in order to have more confidence with it, you gotta own the moment! like hug her really tight and kiss her like it’s you’re making her feel how you love her.. she’ll feel it for sure.. (=

Okay i know i might be late with this answer, but this is for whoever reads it and finds it useful.

I understand where you come from when you say it gets “old”, but truth be told the least awkward places you can put your hands on is probably the face, hair and waist. If she starts parting her lips, go with the flow. If she finds something uncomfortable she will let you know by changing up the motions or she will let you know. Don’t freak out if things change up a bit just breathe, take it all in and find out what she likes.
