Friends with a guy who has a girlfriend

Hi I met a guy last semester who is really cool and would like to be good friends with. back then he was single and he had a crush on me, so I tried to not hangout with him too much especially one on one. I didn’t want to lead him on since I don’t like him in that way. now he has a girlfriend who is pretty controling. I really want to have a friendship with him but she makes it so that I can’t hang out with him without her supervision. I feel like she may know that he liked me since whenever I come around she gives me that death glare look. I would talk to him about it, but we never are alone (if that would happen I feel like she would be really pissed at him and I don’t want to start trouble for him), and online the timing is just awkward since neither of us stay online for more than 10 mins. is there anyway I can keep my friendship with this guy and make his girlfriend chill out?

Nope… you need to put the friendship on hold until(if) his current relationship ends.

Possibly. Youll probably have to talk to his current girlfriend one on one and tell her you have no feelings for her boyfriend whatsover and to not worry. Theres always a reason for being controlling. She may be afraid to lose him or something may have happened in her past to cause her to be controlling now. Whatever reason, just make sure that she knows your intentions with her boyfriend are completely innocent and that you are not trying to get in the way of their relationship. Good luck :)
