Where do you get fondant from?

Rolled fondant.

You can make home made fondant or you can buy it from places like Michaels. To me it doesn’t taste great. It’s used to make cakes or whatever you are using the fondant for to look good.

You can buy rolled fondant at any party store, walmart also sells it in the cake decorating secttion. It doesnt taste bad, but its not as sweet or as good as icing. Its way less sweet and depending on the brand it can be bitter.

Are there ways to sweeten it if it’s pre-made?

I would rather buy it, I would ki.ll myself trying to make it right.

Yes, even us pastry chefs don’t make it any more, it’s just senseless and time consuming.

You can add flavourings to it, but make sure your flavourings are clear if you don’t want it to change colour…you just knead extracts or liquid sugar in.

You can add flavoring too it, although adding things to fondant is tricky and it can ruin the texture and cause it to be very hard to roll out and place over a cake.

want to get into vake making, but I don’t know if I’d be good at it and I don’t think it will ever become my job.

Sense this will be my first time using fondant I better not push it. :)
